Provincie van de minderbroeders franciscanen

De Provincie van de Minderbroeders Franciscanen in de Lage Landen faced a difficult decision. Their monastery in Amsterdam was being used less and less as the number of friars within the order declined. In order to move the remaining friars to another location and give the site a new future, they decided to sell the complex.

Our role

Envalue was asked to oversee this process. Our approach began with a thorough analysis of the property and the potential development scenarios. Together with Kraaijvanger Architects, we examined the functional and technical feasibility of the various options and engaged in discussions with the City of Amsterdam regarding the future of the site. This preparatory work laid a solid foundation for a targeted approach to the market.

In the subsequent transaction phase, we drew up a comprehensive document to provide potential buyers with the necessary insights. Following receipt of the initial proposals, a careful selection process ensued, including a second round of negotiations to further optimise the terms. Ultimately, we were able to reach an agreement with the buyer on behalf of the client, striking a balance between commercial and non-commercial terms.

Result

The result: a successful transaction that not only optimised the sale proceeds but also minimised the risks for the client.

This case clearly demonstrates how Envalue’s strength lies in interdisciplinary collaboration. From valuations and strategic analysis to architectural feasibility and discussions with the local council: every element contributed to the complete picture.

Thanks to our broad expertise, we were able to translate the objectives of the Province of the Franciscan Friars Minor into a concrete and sustainable result.
