Cherryl Djoegan starts as Head of Sustainability

Envalue Real Estate welcomes Cherryl Djoegan as Head of Sustainability with effect from 1 June 2024. With her appointment, Envalue is further expanding its range of services with a complete focus on sustainability and circularity in the property sector. As Head of Sustainability, Cherryl will be responsible for Envalue’s sustainability vision, introducing strategic sustainability advice and services in the areas of CO₂ reduction, Paris Proof design and sustainability certification such as BREEAM and WELL. To this end, Cherryl will assemble a team of sustainability and technical specialists.

Cherryl’s expertise

Cherryl began her career at project management firm Logge, where she was given the opportunity to introduce circularity into interior construction. She subsequently gained extensive experience at construction firm Strukton and then as a project developer at HD Group. In that latter role, Cherryl played a leading part in drawing up circular business and development strategies, identifying and implementing sustainable materials, coordinating collaborations with partners on circular solutions, and monitoring the sustainability performance of property projects.

Ambition: creating a fully sustainable living environment

Cherryl is renowned for her leadership and sharp vision on circularity and sustainability. “With Cherryl as Head of the new Sustainability service line, we can add a new dimension to our sustainability strategies and support our clients even better in achieving their Paris Proof ambitions,” says Jan Verhaegh, CEO of Envalue.

Cherryl’s ambition is to create a fully sustainable living environment. In her new role at Envalue, she will help clients achieve their sustainability goals and integrate circular strategies. Furthermore, under her leadership, Envalue will introduce new technical and architectural services.

Cherryl Djoegan herself emphasises: “The power of collaboration and the drive for innovation are indispensable in bringing about sustainable change. I also strongly believe in the transformative role of data in the property sector. Together with Envalue’s dedicated and enterprising team, I am therefore convinced that we can translate our vision of sustainability into concrete actions to make the Netherlands fully ‘Paris Proof’ by 2050.”

Dutch Green Building Council

In parallel with Cherryl’s appointment, Envalue is becoming a member of the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC), the national non-profit organisation committed to a future-proof built environment. With Cherryl’s appointment, Envalue is also joining the Building Life Ambassadorship of DGBC.
